Services for Libraries
XIST helps libraries!
XIST has a special relationship with libraries. Owned and
operated by trained librarians, we know how to leverage the value
of libraries with our blend of librarians, programmers,
management consultants, and information management consultants.
On a daily basis, XIST practices knowledge sharing, by bringing
lessons learned at one library to another. XIST provides access
to some of the best expertise available in library services and
is here to help guide our clients in these fast changing
times.
XIST contributes to the library community by:
- Volunteering on various library association boards.
- Donating corporate services to library associations.
- Public speaking around the world on LIS issues.
- Sponsoring of the Council of Federal Libraries’ Agatha
Bystram Award for Information Management.
- Posting events on this web site that appeal to our librarian
and information management colleagues.
- Hosting information sessions on issues of concern.
- And, by helping out our colleagues solve their problems on a
daily basis.
XIST provides support to libraries in the areas of:
- Management consulting (strategic planning, business cases, business process re-engineering,
marketing, information audits, etc.)
- Professional development (training on IM project management, customer relationship
management, facilitation, team building, etc.)
